Easy Sourdough Muffins

Ingredients

  • Ingredients:
  • 1 ½ cups All Purpose Flour
  • 1 teaspoon Baking Soda
  • 1 ½ teaspoon Baking Powder
  • ½ teaspoon Salt
  • ½ cup Butter Melted
  • ¾ cup Granulated Sugar
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1 cup Sourdough Starter Active or Discard
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla
  • 1 ½ cups Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips

Instructions

Get Ready

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F
  • Line a 12-cup muffin tin with paper liners
  • Let ingredients come to room temperature

Mix Dry Ingredients

  • In a medium bowl, whisk together:
  • - Flour
  • - Baking soda
  • - Baking powder
  • - Salt
  • Set aside

Mix Wet Ingredients

  • In a large bowl, combine:
  • - Sugar and eggs
  • - Add sourdough starter
  • - Melted butter
  • - Vanilla
  • Mix until well combined
  • Combine & Finish

Add dry ingredients to wet ingredients

  • Mix until just combined (lumps are good!)
  • Fold in chocolate chips gently

Bake

  • Scoop batter into muffin cups
  • Bake for 30 minutes
  • Check with toothpick - should come out clean
  • Let cool for 5 minutes before enjoying
