Meet Lisa from Hardmead Farm
Hello! I’m so glad you are here
Hello, everyone! I’m Lisa, a proud mother of four energetic little ones all under the age of seven. As a military family, we’ve learned to adapt and thrive in various environments, but right now, we’re calling the beautiful state of Georgia our home. Our life here is a blend of adventure, learning, and a deep connection to nature as we embrace the homesteading lifestyle on Hardmead farm.

Life can be a whirlwind with four young kids, but it’s a whirlwind filled with laughter, learning, and love. We’ve chosen to homeschool our children, which allows us to instill our values and passions.. Every day is a new opportunity for exploration and growth, whether we’re diving into a new subject, working on hands-on projects, or tending to our garden.
Speaking of our garden, it’s one of my favorite aspects of our homestead. We grow a variety of fruits and vegetables, teaching our children the importance of healthy eating and the basics of sustainable living. It’s truly rewarding to watch them dig in the soil and learn where their food comes from. Plus, there’s nothing quite like the taste of fresh produce straight from the garden!
We also have a dairy cow, which has become a beloved member of our family. Milking her is a daily chore that I enjoy sharing with my kids. It’s a fantastic way for them to learn responsibility and appreciate the hard work that goes into producing food. In addition to our cow, we raise chickens for eggs, and we’ve also taken on the challenge of raising our own meat chickens and rabbits. This hands-on approach to food production not only teaches our kids valuable skills but also strengthens our family bond.
My husband and I have been married for eight wonderful years. We met on a beach in Hawaii, and it was love at first sight. Our shared passion for adventure and family has been the cornerstone of our relationship. We’re committed to raising a healthy, happy family, and I’m grateful every day for the opportunity to stay home, homemake, and nurture our children.
Though moving can be challenging, it has also taught us resilience and adaptability. Each new place brings fresh experiences and opportunities for growth, and we cherish the memories we create as a family. For now, Georgia is where we plant our roots, and we love exploring everything this beautiful state has to offer.
As I navigate the joys and challenges of motherhood, homeschooling, and homesteading, I’m excited to share our journey with you. I hope to inspire other families to embrace the beauty of a simple, connected life, whether through homesteading, education, or just the everyday moments that make life special. Thanks for joining me on this adventure!
